Dr. Robert Ferguson has worked full-time in private practice since 2008. Prior professional experience includes positions at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre, Eating Disorders Program, and Forensic Service at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton. Dr. Ferguson also has worked in a number of other settings including a private psychological practice in Windsor, The Psychological Services Centre at the University of Windsor, Counseling and Psychological Services at the University of Michigan, Thistletown Regional Centre for Children & Adolescents, and the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. Dr. Ferguson provides assessment and cognitive behavioural therapy services for adolescents, adults, and couples. He is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies. He has special interests in anxiety disorders (panic, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, specific phobias, posttraumatic stress, generalized anxiety), depression, self-esteem issues, anger management, stress-related issues, chronic pain management, relationship issues, and body image concerns.
