Jennifer Denney is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with specialized training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She received a Masters of Psychology from the Adler Professional School of Graduate Studies in Toronto. Her graduate research focused on assessing the effectiveness of CBT in the treatment of Panic Disorder. Her prior professional experience includes positions at the Anxiety and Treatment Research Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and the Student Wellness Centre at McMaster University.
Jennifer previously received a Masters of Business Administration with a specialty in Health Services Management from McMaster University. For over a decade Jennifer has also worked in corporate healthcare and held various leadership positions at a number of healthcare centres in Hamilton, Halton and Kitchener. This experience provides her with a unique perspective of our healthcare system and the dynamics of working in corporate environments.
In addition to her work at HCCBT, Jennifer also holds a clinical role at the Anxiety and Treatment Research Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton where she provides both assessment and treatment to individuals with a range of mental health concerns.
At the HCCBT, Jennifer provides CBT for adults with a range of presenting concerns including anxiety disorders (social anxiety, panic, generalized anxiety/excessive worry, specific phobias), obsessive compulsive disorder and related disorders, trauma, depression and related issues including stress, low self-esteem and relationship concerns. Jennifer is committed to providing evidence-based treatment in a compassionate and safe environment while incorporating clients’ personal needs and goals.
