Katie McCabe is a registered Social Worker with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She is also a credentialed member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies.
Currently, in addition to her role at the HCCBT, she holds positions as a social worker at the Mood Disorders Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and as a part time assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. She is actively involved in teaching, supervising and training other professionals in CBT at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
At the HCCBT, Katie provides CBT for adults and adolescents with a range of presenting concerns including anxiety disorders (social anxiety, panic, generalized anxiety), trauma, depression, and related issues including low self-esteem and stress. Katie is committed to providing evidence-based treatment in a safe and trusting environment.
