Dr. Schneider is a Registered Clinical Psychologist in supervised practice and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital. He completed his M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Regina and his predoctoral residency with the Nova Scotia Health Authority. At HCCBT, Dr. Schneider uses cognitive-behavioural and acceptance-based approaches to help adults struggling with a wide variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Dr. Schneider also holds a specialization in health psychology to help individuals manage depression and anxiety associated with chronic pain and illness.
The focus of Dr. Schneider's clinical research involves developing, evaluating, and implementing Internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programs in Canada. Dr. Schneider has presented his work at national and international conferences and is published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a past recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship, which has led to several international research collaborations in the field of Internet-delivered therapy.
